 MAY 30, 2019 - Delegate Roslyn Tyler and Dr. Jennifer Lee (Pictured in the Center above with constituents) provided information on Medicaid Expansion and updates about the 2019 General Assembly Session.

Delegate Tyler would like to thank all that attended the Town Hall meeting in Emporia. Delegate Tyler and Dr. Jennifer Lee, Director of DMAS, both provided information about the newly expanded Medicaid enrollment policies and eligibility, while also expressing the importance of Healthcare within our district, and the Commonwealth. Proudly, as of May 30th, about 71% of the expected amount of newly eligible people for Medicaid have been enrolled. Medicaid expansion is a very important tool for the improvement of Healthcare throughout the state.

The Remote Area Medical Clinic will take place at Greensville High School on June 22-23, 2019. Free Physicals will be provided along with Free CPR & First Aid training for teachers. The CPR & First Aid Training for teachers is open to teachers from anywhere, however, SLOTS ARE LIMITED.

The parking lot will open at 12AM, tickets will be distributed at 3AM, and at 6AM door will open to the public. This event will be very crowded, so arriving at the earliest opportunity is highly recommended.
